Blackpool, Lancaster and Blackburn are seeing the biggest increases as Lancashire has another 817 new Covid cases

Another 817 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Lancashire’s 14 counties.

Public Health England data for the past 24 hour period again shows Blackburn, with Darwen recording the majority of the new positive tests.

East Lancashire Local Authority, which remains on Scotland’s travel bans list, has seen a 101 increase since yesterday.

Blackpool and Lancaster respectfully saw the next largest increases at 92 and 91, while six other counties increased their totals by at least 50.

Fylde and the Ribble Valley recorded the smallest daily increases together with 22 cases each.

New Public Health England figures show that across the UK, 20,479 new cases and 23 deaths were reported within 28 days of testing positive.

A total of 44,581,771 people have now received the first dose of the vaccine, while 32,721,762 have received a second dose.

Hyndburn: 9,789 (+62) 12,078.8 per 100,000

Lancaster: 10,470 (+91) 7,169.4 per 100,000

Pendulum: 11,015 (+45) 11,958.3 per 100,000

Preston: 16,005 (+77) 11,181.8 per 100,000

Ribble Valley: 5,673 (+22) 9,317.1 per 100,000

Rossendale: 7,590 (+36) 10,618.1 per 100,000

South Ribble: 9,739 (+58) 8,790.7 per 100,000

West Lancashire: 9,597 (+50) 8,395.9 per 100,000

Wyre: 7,432 (+55) 6,630.3 per 100,000
