This year marks the tenth anniversary of The Enterprise Vision Awards, which are designed to recognize exceptional women entrepreneurs in the Northwest, and this year has attracted a record number of nominations and submissions.

From startups, young entrepreneurs and family businesses to global organizations and third sector companies, from boerewors, nutritional supplements for women, lingerie after breast cancer to beekeepers, RV rentals, whistleblowers and game changers.

Coral Horn, Founder of EVAS, said: “Women have faced major economic, logistical and emotional challenges as a result of the pandemic. It was an absolute pleasure to see the resilience and strength of these remarkable entrepreneurs who have adapted and thrived.

EVAs winner of 2019

“Every nomination and every contribution deserves a huge applause and our thirty-seven jurors agree that the high quality of the contributions made their decisions exceptionally difficult – next, interviews and votes are announced, then we are ready for the celebration of the decade.”

Heather Waters, Regional Executive Director for NatWest, who has been EVAS ‘main sponsor since 2013, said, “The caliber of this year’s submissions is out of this world. This has made the evaluation process very challenging. I want to congratulate every woman who is shortlisted; They are all outstanding and amazing role models. “

Paul Fox of Fox Group said, “As a proud and well-established family business, Fox Group is proud to sponsor EVA’s Family Business Award.

“We have followed the EVAs closely in recent years and the promotion of women in the construction industry has always been an initiative that we have actively promoted, with many women in our group of companies leading the way.”

Virtual interviews will take place over the next few weeks to decide who will win a coveted EVA statue in each of the 18 categories.

The winners will be announced at a glamorous awards ceremony on Friday, September 24th at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
