Twelve of 14 boroughs make it into the top 50, with only Fylde and West Lancashire falling under that mark.

However, each area remains above the new national average rate of 160, with only Blackburn, with Darwen, Ribble Valley, Chorley and Ribble Valley, showing a drop in case numbers from week to week.

Installment numbers in Lancashire are set to climb even higher after more than 3,000 cases were recorded and remain to be considered between June 27th and June 30th.

Of the 315 local areas in England, 302 (96%) saw rates increase, 11 (3%) decreased and two are unchanged.

The numbers for the seven days leading up to June 26 are based on tests conducted in laboratories (Pillar 1 of the government’s testing program) and in the wider community (Pillar 2).

Data for the last four days (June 27-30) have been excluded because they are incomplete and do not reflect the true number of cases. The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 population.
