If you’ve been watching all of your favorite Netflix shows or have exhausted your general knowledge during the Family Zoom quiz, there are plenty of fun classes and courses online to keep you occupied during the lockdown.

Whether you’re looking to get fit, learn a new language, or improve your singing skills, we’ve rounded up some of the best online courses in the Lancashire area.

Everybody Fit in Preston offers an entire weekly schedule of live classes on Zoom, from HIIT to Clubbercise and Tabata workouts. Visit the Everybody Fit website for more information.

West Coast Martial Arts, Fulwood, offers online martial arts classes for children ages four to six and seven to twelve, as well as bootcamps for teens and adults.

Leyland Aerial Fitness Gym Cirquefit also rescheduled classes online during the lockdown, with strength and flexibility sessions requiring minimal equipment. More information, email [email protected]

Atelier Arts in Clitheroe offers its weekly art classes online through Zoom. The courses cost £ 45 for six weekly sessions or a one-time session for £ 10. “Inspired by artists” is the theme of this term. More information by email [email protected]

The Preston Art Society has put together a program of Zoom meetings so members can keep in touch. The meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.30 p.m. For membership inquiries by email [email protected]

Chrissy Webster Mosaic & Craft is run by northwest-based community artist and tutor Chrissy. She offers a range of online craft workshops through ClassBento. Kits containing the materials for each class can be ordered for home delivery.

Do-Re-Mi Singing continues to offer weekly zoom lessons for teenagers that cover both pop and musical theater techniques. Classes cost £ 5 per week for a 40 minute lesson focusing on vocal technique with visual aids. Private one-on-one lessons are also available for £ 10 for 30 minutes. The University of Central Lancashire’s Worldwise Learning Center offers a range of language courses using Rosetta Stone software. Over 20 languages ​​are available to study at different levels, from Arabic to Spanish, Japanese and Russian. You can sign up for this program at any time throughout the year.

Hartbeeps Preston offers its music and performance classes for babies and toddlers online and costs £ 12 for four sessions.

Little Voices Preston hosts weekly online performing arts classes for children ages four and up. Sessions include acting, singing, performances, musical theater and LAMDA training, with an emphasis on fun, friendship and trust building. For more details, email [email protected]

Preston Trick Dogs teaches fun tricks and activities for all ages of handlers and dogs. The team has been offering dog training courses through Zoom since last March.
