Heights Farm Pet Foods in Preston and the Fylde is owned by Alison and Steve Critchley. They have been in business since 2018 and they say their primary focus is pet health.
Alison and Steve wanted to help a local charity after the past 18 months of difficult going for a good cause.
An open sausage box
Alison said, “After going through a few different ideas, we decided to partner with another local small business, Fluffy Betty Bows.
“We came up with the idea of ’sausage boxes for charity’.
“Together we filled boxes with our natural sausages and added a nice handmade bow. The proceeds from these then went to a cause that is close to our hearts, Lancashire German Shepherd Rescue.
“We are so proud to say we raised £ 350 which exceeded our original target of £ 100.”

Lancashire German Shepherd Rescue, based in Warton, was founded in 2003.
Alison said: “The charity is run by Ted Kewley, who started it after realizing the need in Lancashire for a charity to help and re-host German Shepherds.
“We first met Ted in 2019 and were impressed with what he was doing and how he changed the lives of these beautiful dogs. To date, Ted has rescued 1,000 dogs. “
This was one of the biggest Heights Farm Pet Foods’ campaigns to date, and they reassured Preston Blog that they have many more ideas for the future.
